CCV Worship is a collective of worship leaders, songwriters, musicians and creatives whose passion is to point people to a rich and full relationship with Jesus, though encounters of intentional and powerful worship. Based out of Philadelphia, CCV Worship is led by Eric Sumpter, Seth Brown, and Carley Bobst. They are excited to lead worship at CIY this summer and see how God moves through this next generation of worshippers.
Josh serves as the Creative Arts Minister at College Heights Christian Church in Joplin, MO, and has been leading worship for 18 years. He is a graduate of Ozark Christian College and has a Master of Arts degree in Spiritual Formation and Discipleship from Portland Seminary. His motivation for ministry is to see people become like the God they worship. Married for 13 years to his wife, Andrea, God has richly blessed them with four children, Madison, Micah, Isaiah, and Eden.
Eric MacDonald is a Worship Pastor based out of Northern Kentucky. He has been leading worship for the past 12 years and has led for students and adults alike. Eric’s passion is calling people towards energetic and genuine worship. He is happily married to his wife (Jess) of 5 years and enjoys an unhealthy amount of hockey and donuts. This is is 3rd summer with CIY MOVE.
Ryan is a Worship Pastor and Songwriter out of Tulsa, OK -- by way of New Orleans, LA. Together, he and his wife Devin have served in ministry for their whole seven years of marriage (and counting). His desire is to show the truth and beauty of God through his music -- and connect with Him; all while equipping and encouraging others to do the same.
Worship Pastor and Singer Songwriter, Rob Jones was created to do music. He uses his authentic Folk/Soul vibe to help create an atmosphere for people to encounter the Lord and experience the goodness of His grace.
Louie and Brianne are worship leaders based out of Southern California. They both have a desire to see people changed by grace and respond, in adoration, to the God who redeemed them through Jesus Christ.
It wasn't until they were married in 2012 that they sensed the magnitude of their calling to lead worship together. Now, by God's grace, they seek to encourage and edify the body of Christ through music and worship.
Growing up as worship leaders, Carrollton is Jordan Bailey, Michael Loy, Stephen Moore and David Terry. A band of brothers shaped by their upbringing and their music. The guys hail from Louisville, KY and Nashville, TN. Coming off the recent release of their latest single Made For This and unified with the same focus to share the hope of Jesus wherever they go, Carrollton joins us again in worship this summer.
Danny Larsh is a worship leader and songwriter based in Phoenix, AZ. He serves on the music team at Christ’s Church of the Valley. Danny is married to Derra and they have two beautiful daughters. This is Danny’s 7th summer with CIY MOVE.
Aaron Pelsue is a singer-songwriter, artist and worship leader based out of Indianapolis, IN. He founded the Aaron Pelsue Band in 2000 and has been recording and traveling with them ever since. He and his wife, Emily, have led worship all across the country and in local churches for the last 17 years. They have three adopted children- Posey (8), Glory (4), and Milo (18mo), all born in southern Mississippi. After spending 15 years in full time ministry on staff at two mega-churches, they have been traveling and leading worship as "musicianaries" since 2014. They have produced and released a dozen worship albums over the last 10 years and continue writing and recording today. The goal of their ministry and music has always been to bring hope, love and inspiration to all who hear them. They feel it's their calling to create music that makes a difference. Born and raised in Tampa, Florida, Frank Gil is Cuban, bearded and loves Jesus. He is an energetic and passionate speaker who has been serving in student ministry for more than 10 years. He loves the Gospel, great food and good hip-hop. Frank is the student ministries pastor of Epikos Church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is married, has no kids, and has a 3-year-old lab mix named Grace.
Katy Langley is a passionate leader whose years of experience in ministry, humor, spontaneity, ridiculous tall height, and drive to know God more has allowed her to connect to diverse communities of all ages. Expressing the Lord through music and worship is a big part of her heart, as well as continuous learning. Drew Thurman is currently the lead planter of a new church plant in the Boston metro area called Renaissance. He is also involved in a social entrepreneurial startup in his neighborhood and helps others engage in missional living and ministry through Forge America's Boston Hub. He holds a decade of student ministry experience and a passion for seeing students connect with Christ. Drew, his wife, Breanna, and their daughter, Annie, live in Waltham, Massachusetts.
Maggie has served as Community Impact Minister at Christ's Church of Oronogo for the past 10 years. She is passionate about seeing the local church engage the community in unique and creative ways for the sake of the Kingdom. Although she lives in Missouri now, she will always be a Texan at heart. She loves tacos, traveling, and hanging out with her three favorite people: her husband, Isaac, and their two kids, Pax and Poppy.
Taylor Starr is a High School Ministry discipleship and girls ministry pastor at Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, Ky. Taylor loves equipping Jesus followers to invite others who need Jesus into their personal lives and homes for the sake of making His name known. Taylor and her husband Bryan have been married for 7 years and have the coolest little girl in the world, Willow Brave. Their family of three enjoys all things film, local coffee shops, traveling to new places as often as possible, but their most favorite thing outside of who Jesus is, going to their favorite place on earth each year, Disney World!
Izu was born in Atlanta but grew up in his parents home country, Nigeria. He attended Evangel University and has gone on to build and develop multiple youth and young adult communities in the Midwest, Florida and Southern California.
Cedric Hardimon is a Youth Pastor at Life.Church and is currently serving at the Norman campus based out of Oklahoma. In addition to that, he also serves as a Team Chaplain for the Oklahoma City Thunder. He loves God, his family, and when he finds extra time, writing Hip-Hop music. Secretly, he wants to be a DJ that travels the world.
Vanessa Cruz is serving as the Director of Student Ministries at Revive Church (formerly known as 7th Street Church) located in Long Beach and El Monte, Ca. She graduated with her B.A. from Biola University, she is a Certified Urban Youth Worker through UYWI 90 degrees program, and is currently earning her Masters in Social Work at CSULB. She is passionate about empowering young people and young adults to achieve and obtain ALL that God has for them. She is a local church gal and believes that being planted in a church is one of the BEST decisions one can make. In her free time, she loves traveling and eating good food with close friends and her husband.
Susie is Canadian by birth, Korean by heritage and Mexican by birth and American by immigration. She is passionate about matters surrounding reconciliation, justice and the Gospel. Susie and her husband met at Fuller Theological Seminary while getting their MA in Intercultural Studies and now have 4 beautiful LatAsian babies. After serving as a missionary in South Central Los Angeles for 14 years, they now live in Long Beach, CA where Susie serves on staff with Light and Life Christian Fellowship.
Tiana Spencer serves on the teaching team at Fellowship Monrovia, in Monrovia, CA.. Having developed a passion for the scriptures at a young age, she has spent the past 20 years teaching, discipling and mentoring others to grow in it as well. In addition to raising her 3 daughters with her husband, Brandan, she also spends her time writing, leading worship and traveling to preach the Gospel.
Caleb Kaltenbach is a pastor and the author of Messy Grace: How a Pastor With Gay Parents Learned to Love Others Without Sacrificing Conviction and God of Tomorrow: How to Overcome the Fears of Today and Renew Your Hope for the Future. He enjoys telling people about God's grace and how to reflect God's grace in their life. Caleb graduated from Ozark Christian College, Talbot School of Theology (Biola University), and Dallas Theological Seminary. He and his family reside in Southern California where they love the beach, practically live at Disneyland, and root for the Kansas City Chiefs!
Born, raised, and working in Stillwater Oklahoma, Morgan serves as a student minister on staff at Sunnybrook Christian Church. She loves spending time with her 17 year old son LaQuantae, her nieces, cousins, and friends. She also is a big fan of all things chocolate- especially ice cream, and lastly, is a faithful fan of the Oklahoma State Cowboys.
Hannah Geraci is the Volunteer & Intern Program Manager at Fellowship Church in southern California. Having recently completed her Masters of Theology at Fuller Theological Seminary, Hannah spends her newfound free time trying new recipes, reading good books, and playing Catan with friends.
Jaron is the Associate Pastor of Christ's Church Joplin, in Joplin, Missouri. His heart is full of passion for Jesus, his wife Chelsi, Jesus' Church, and the people that aren't a part of Jesus' Church. Jaron still believes that Lebron James is the G.O.A.T.
Jeff lives in Phoenix, Arizona, with his four young children and his wife Nicky, who works as a family nurse practitioner and teaches online at two universities. Together he and his wife minister in the areas of marriage, dating, and relationships.
He has been a high school, middle school, college, associate and teaching pastor. Along with working for the local church, Jeff has been on staff at Azusa Pacific University, as well as Grand Canyon University and has been a faculty member as an adjunct professor at Arizona Christian University. Prior to this, he was involved in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles for eight years, doing stand-up comedy, acting, voiceover work, and production.
Today, Jeff serves as an associate campus pastor at Central Christian Church in Mesa, Arizona, a church of over 10,000 weekend attenders. Jeff received his masters degree from Fuller Theological Seminary and is an alumnus of Anderson University. His passions are helping people discover their God given strengths, racial (and all kinds of) reconciliation and speaking the Word of God.
Taylor Walling is a Christian communicator and writer. Taylor loves to talk about Jesus through story, insight, and inspiration. He serves as the Teaching Minister at the Hills Church in Fort Worth, TX. He and his wife Courtney love good food and their son Finn (but not necessarily in that order).
Since 2002 I've traveled from coast to coast preaching the gospel and taking every opportunity to tell people about the love of Jesus. I'm passionate about preaching and inspiring people to move toward Jesus. I want to make people aware that no matter who you are, what you've done, or what's been done to you...God loves you! In addition to speaking around the country, I serve as the Executive Director and Teaching Pastor at Grace Church in Northwest Reno, NV. I have a gorgeous wife, Janelle De La Mora. We were married in 2006 and have five beautiful children. I love to spend time with my family, workout, shout when I watch football (Go Chargers!), enjoy watching movies, and I'm crazy in love with Jesus!
Justin Knowles is the husband of the awesome Kristin and dad to Graham “The Dude” Knowles. He is the lead Student Ministries Pastor at Christ’s Church of the Valley in San Dimas, CA. CCV is a multisite church where Justin leads a pretty incredible staff and volunteer team who loves students and loves to create environments for students to experience in a life changing way. He loves teaching God’s word, loving talking leadership and he leads a youth ministry podcast called Youth Ministry Hacks where he talks through practical youth ministry. He also is involved with downloadyouthministry.com to provide great and cheap resources to youth pastors all over.
Katie Quesada speaks at a wide variety of conferences, churches, and universities. She has served with students, families, women's, small groups and leadership development for 10 years.Katie received her degree from Vanguard University. She is currently living in a renovated 180 sq. ft. RV with her husband Danny and her sweet daughter Gracie June in Monrovia, CA.
Beth DeFazio teaches Public Speaking and Biblical Communication at Ozark Christian College in Joplin, MO. She has been speaking at women’s and youth events for nearly fifteen years and enjoys engaging with others in worship, study and community.
Beth and her husband Michael married in 2003 and have two children, Claire and Carson. Their family of four enjoys family movie nights, board games, road trips and Sonic Happy Hour.

Damian is a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, passionate communicator, visionary leader, and pastor. For more than 25 years, he has reached and developed youth, young adults, and singles locally and nationally through conferences, high impact events, leadership gatherings, and everyday ministry. He is a well known speaker and has develop people with the principles, tools, and resources to live significant lives for the Glory of God.
Damian committed his life to Christ at the age of 16 after a personal encounter with Jesus. Even with a turbulent childhood of poverty, homelessness, and an absentee father, he realized his amazing potential in Christ and allowed his challenging experiences to be testament to God’s love, power, and redemption. He became a revolutionary for Christ and challenged those around him to life passionately for the Lord. His life scripture continues to be the theme of his life and ministry. “You are the salt of the earth…You are the light of the world…” (Matthew 5:13-15).
In 2009, Damian published his first book, College Impact. The goal of the book is for collegiate Christians to awaken to the full life in Christ and touch the lives of others for the Glory of God. The philosophy is to move our students from "prevent defense" to offense, for we carry the treasure of creation on the inside of us.
In 2011, Damian and his family started a new portion of their journey by launching Vertical Church, a family of Jesus followers “on mission” in the urban, college community of Historic West End/Vine City of Atlanta Georgia. Damian serves as the Lead Pastor. With a mission to grow followers of Jesus Christ and equip them for their life mission, this Bible-based church seeks to have an indispensable presence and voice in both the campus and community. Damian and Zarat celebrate nearly 20 years of marriage and over fourteen years of raising their son, Damian Jr., a gifted, musical child with complex medical needs. He loves his family deeply.
Chris Simning is a remarkable storyteller. His hope in Jesus has ignited a passion to speak about the experience of finding purpose in the midst of a life filled with challenges. Chris shares about the reality of brokenness, the provision of God in the midst of it, and the resiliency of the Gospel message in what may be deemed tragic. His personal story provides hope in a world that seems bleak, and encourages people who need to be inspired by the faithfulness of the Lord, Who is with us even when His presence is not felt. Chris speaks to churches, retreats, and youth conferences nationally as well as internationally.
Joel is the lead pastor of Encounter Church in Washington DC, which he planted in 2017 with his wife Meghan. He is originally from Guayaquil, Ecuador, but has been living in the United States since 2006. Joel is very passionate about urban ministry, young adults and multi-ethnic ministry. Joel lives in Washington DC with his wife Meghan and their dog Corby.
Anne Wilson is a speaker, writer, and minister, with a background in church communications and student ministry. Anne and her family are a part of Traders Point Christian Church in Indianapolis, Indiana, where she serves as a student groups minister. Anne’s passion is to see people of all ages come to know, trust, and follow Jesus, and to see them develop a clear understanding of why they believe what they believe, grounded in God’s Word. Anne is married to her husband, Kyle, and mom to her two kids, Keegan and Eliza.
Bri Johns is a pastor and Creative Director at Central Christian Church of Arizona. She’s an engaging storyteller who loves helping people connect to their greater purpose. Bri is former youth pastor, radio producer, and queso connoisseur. When she’s not working or traveling, she’s spending her time making memories with husband Jake, and two boys, Brody and Deacan.
Drew Moore is Student Life Pastor at Canyon Ridge Christian Church in northwest Las Vegas, NV. He is consumed with knowing God and making disciples who make disciples. First with his family, Team Moore, who is shaped by God and sent to heal and includes Layne, his wife of 14 years, three sons and one daughter. Then with students, who God will certainly partner with to bring His kingdom in all of creation. He seeks to teach with 'profound common sense' (Col 1.28) so we can all be doers of God's Word.
Karl is the Student Ministry Director at Bayside Church in Northern California. Bayside is a vibrant church with 7 campuses and 19,000 people in weekly attendance. He oversees aspects of children's ,middle school, high school and college ministry across all campuses. He has been in ministry for the past 16 years and studied Christian Leadership and Biblical Theology at Grand Canyon University. Karl is also a part of the leadership team for Thrive Unleashed, a youth conference for 3000 students, in Northern California. Though he is absolutely in love with Boston sports, his heart belongs to his wife Jen and daughters Georgia and Ruby.
Matt Reagan is a Lead Team/Vision Team pastor at Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, KY. He is a visionary leader with a passion to see an entire generation awakened to the glory of God, and spends his energies creating a movement of disciple makers both locally and around the world.
Brad Tate is an Authentic, Relevant, and Engaging conference speaker! He has had the privilege of being a part of both small and large conferences, camps, and events across the country and internationally. Brad's style of teaching stays true to the text while compelling students to listen, engage, and act on God’s word. Students say they find Brad easy to understand because of his authenticity, and willingness to be on the same page.
When Brad is not traveling, he serves as the Teaching Pastor for 2|42 Community Church, a fast growing, multi-site church in southeast Michigan.
Rachel Grindle is a graduate of Johnson University and has her Masters in Global Leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary. She spent ten years working as a youth pastor, four years as a missional life pastor and teaching pastor, and three years as the senior director of Engage at Christ in Youth. This past year she has started her greatest ministry to date, raising kingdom workers of her own, her twin boys August and Beckler. She is married to Stephen and they live in Joplin, MO. When not with her boys, you can find Rachel teaching fitness classes or a leadership course at the local college. She loves traveling, good food, and getting a full night of sleep.
Mark Moore joined the staff at Christ’s Church of the Valley (CCV) in Peoria, Arizona in July 2012 as a teaching pastor. CCV is a multi-site church with over 30,000 in weekly attendance. Prior to joining the CCV team, Mark was a Professor at Ozark Christian College in Joplin, Missouri, and is crazy passionate about students who can be world changers.
Eric Epperson is the Senior Director of Æffect, CIY’s digital resources and film department. Prior to his current role, Eric served as the programming director for CIY’s MOVE program, a nationally touring event for high school students. Eric has collaborated with some of the most creative people in the country to produce events, award-winning short films – such as “Aullido,” best short film at the 2015 Justice Film Festival – and compelling documentaries – such as “Love Costs Everything.” In 2016, Eric hosted Kingdom Worker Week, CIY’s first ever online event. Eric holds a BA from Ozark Christian College and a Master of Arts from the University of Oklahoma. He has studied writing and improvisational comedy at the Second City in Chicago and is the co-founder and owner of Siblings Improv, where he performs regularly and leads corporate trainings on collaboration and teamwork. He currently lives on Route 66 with his wife and two daughters.
