Believe tour to explore identity in Christ —

By Becca Haines

Jr. high students in 12 cities across the country will explore their identity in Christ through the theme “I AM” during the 2018-2019 Believe tour.

“It’s going to be fun and it’s going to be different,” said Mike Branton, Believe’s program director. “Identity is critical to talk about when you think of raising up the next generation of Kingdom workers. Kingdom workers at their core understand their identity in Christ and the lifelong commitment to the Kingdom as well as the place Kingdom work holds within who God has created them to be.”

Students can expect the two-day schedule to be action-packed with cool new tech, hilarious interaction with Christian rapper KJ-52, powerful praise and worship and relatable Biblical teachings that will inspire Kingdom work. Believe will welcome to the stage illusionist Zak Mirzadeh, and guest speakers Crystal Kirgiss, Robert Watson, Heather Flies, Kurt Johnston and Jeff Walling. CIY has also produced another new tool to better connect with students – a short film that tells a story of identity from the perspective of a mirror.

“What we want is when a student looks at themselves in the mirror they’re reminded of God’s truth instead the flaws or misconceptions that they might hear or see from others – or even themselves,” Branton said.
