Puerto Rico Update 4

What another great day. We had two groups out working today. One was at a church members home who has battled cancer twice. It has left her unable to do the upkeep needed on her home our team cut out a huge tree stump, cleaned her gutters, mowed the lawn, painted her porch and did overall cleaning. What great servant hearts and tremendous attitudes.
The other group worked at the Puerto Rico Christian School. In the high school building which suffered hurricane damage, our group help clean out a large room that had become a catch all for the school and church. We organized books that still being used and took the others to recycling. A new concrete closet had been recently built covering everything in the room with concrete dust. We cleaned off everything, moved cabinets, computers, and more to the computer room. We had to empty the room, sweep it, hose it out (concrete walls and floors), bring back in desks and chairs. We had to throw away a bunch of trash and recycling and prepare the room to be painted tomorrow. The school director Vivian was simply amazed.
Dinner was at Harry’s Tacos. Again it was great. Pastors Brian Smith (plus his family) and Anna Ritter were able to join us.
We finished with a great time of discussion and reflection about our day.
