Poland Update 8

Posted: Sunday, July 21, 2019

Saturday, July 20 is our last official day in Poland :(. Today we started off our day on a tour around Auschwitz concentration camps 1 and 2. It was powerful being able to see the struggles the men and women went through while at the camp, and was an experience we will remember for the rest of our lives. Afterwards we went to a traditional Polish restaurant, and Krawkow square. While in Krawkow square we were able to learn about and enjoy Polish culture. Whether it is was eating the creamiest ice cream we have ever had to an everlasting search for cold water, we loved every moment we had in Krawkow. And tonight we get the opportunity to stay in a hotel in Krawkow so we can fly out to Germany early in the morning. Although we are sad to leave Poland tomorrow and resume our normal lives, we couldn’t have thought of a better way to spend our last day. With the lessons we learned and lives we saw impacted while at the camp this week it is safe to say that this week changed our perspectives on what defines a mission trip, and how we can serve our God in any he needs us to.
