Northern Ireland Salt Factory 1 Update 2
Posted: Monday, June 17, 2019
Our day kicked off with an incredible visit to Lagan Valley Vineyard for worship, which brought an incredible challenge by the guest speaker, Peter Porter from South Africa, to embrace the process in which we go through struggles and strife because it means God is fulfilling His promises in us—we just need to remain faithful in it and through it.
Following service we visited downtown Belfast for lunch and a bit of shopping before our week gets really busy.
We went through a bit more orientation and then headed over to Trinity Methodist to prepare for sports camps at the schools and Holiday Bible Class in the evenings at the church. All of the students are jumping in and using their gifts to teach lessons, lead worship, help kids with memory verses, assist with games, and give their all to ensure the kids know they’re loved by God and our group...even if it means we look crazy and goofy in the process 😃
Tomorrow we begin a full day of serving and loving on the kids. Pray for our team as we simply do our best to be present and the salt and light of Jesus. (It’s discouraged for students/adults to have phones and cameras at the school and during evening services, so picture updates might come later after they’re passed along from Salt Factory).
