Northern Ireland 1 Update 5

Posted: Monday, January 08, 2018

We had a full day today. We spent most of the day learning the history of St. Patrick and how he brought Christianity to Ireland. In the morning, we started off watching a documentary on St. Patrick that told us the story of his life and his work. The afternoon was spent visiting various St. Patrick sites. It was really amazing to see and be at the places St. Patrick had done his work. We were all overwhelmed by his testimony and the work he had done as majority of us had never been aware of it. After seeing all the sights, we got to walk around town for a bit. It was a nice way to relax and enjoy the Irish atmosphere and culture. We then came home, had shepherd’s pie for dinner (it was DELICIOUS) and then got ready for RIOT. We were all so excited to see all the kids again, and we were especially looking forward to it as 4 of our team members were giving their testimonies. Michael, Rachel (w/ brown hair), Piper and Hanna so boldly shared a 5-minute testimony of something God had done in their lives. It was so cool for not just the kids to hear but the team as well. We’ve all SO enjoyed getting to know each other and it’s really amazing how much fun we’re having together. We ended RIOT with a small worship session and it was such a beautiful moment. We can’t believe how fast the time is flying. Definitely not looking forward to saying goodbye. - Gita
