2019 Northern Ireland RIOT 3 Update 5

The RIOT Youth Center has easily been one of my favorite parts of the trip to Northern Ireland. It serves as a neutral ground here in Dundrum and there is a deep beauty to that. Division is everywhere among the Protestant and Catholic people in Northern Ireland. What is accomplished through RIOT can only be explained as a work of God. The barrier between the two groups seems to disappear as they gather at RIOT. We are not Protestants or Catholics at RIOT, we are a single group of Christians. This can be seen the most clearly through our worship at RIOT.
Our worship at the end of each day is amazing. I have never felt worship that feels so unified. All barriers are lowered each night when we start to sing. It doesn’t matter if you are from America or Northern Ireland, we all worship with the same intent: praising our wonderful Father with everything we have. Northern Ireland is the most beautiful place I have been, but no mountain or sea can compare to the beauty that comes from people of different origins coming together to worship the same magnificent God. He is moving and we are part of helping barriers be torn down. Our God is faithful, and His steadfast love will reign forever!
